Feathers!

I've been slightly enamored with feathers for quite some time now. A random, colorful one stuck into my braid, worn as an earring or brooch...anytime, anywhere! For the past decade, sifting through vintage shops and garage sales was my main source for accumulating the best of these gems.  For the past year or so, however, they have been remarkably easy to come by and the Trend Union's focus on birds reinforced my suspicion...feathers are here to stay!

DIESEL BLACK GOLD SS 2011

I loved the feminine and fierce look that Sofia Kokosalaki created for Diesel Black Gold. These colors were stunningly vivid! They reminded me of the color palettes that spill through the western canyons and rock formations...here's a photo of the Grand Canyon at dusk. The similarities are amazing!
